Overview
Govind Ballabh Pant Engineering College (GBPEC) is an autonomous State Government Higher Technical Institution. It was created in 1989 to honour the great Indian Freedom Fighter Padma Ratna Shri. Govind Ballabh Pant. The institute is located in serenity and purity of the Garhwal Himalayas, at a height of 1800m (approx 7000 ft.) above Sea Level and overlooks the Great Himalayan Range on its East flank. Though the institute is still in its infancy, its future is extremely bright. Currently, it provides under-graduate and graduate courses with the vision of providing Doctoral and Post-Doctoral education in the near future.

Admission is open for Engineering Departments through AICTE (AIEEE-CBSE)which conducts an entrance exam at all India Level, passing through you can join the college. Admissions for the Departments in Sciences/Applied Sciences are open through Uttranchal Technical University.
